FLAMBOYÁN THEATRE BRINGS BORICUA CULTURE TO THE DENVER METRO AREA
We are a performing arts theatre in Lakewood, Colorado, that focuses on uniting Puerto Ricans who share the love of music, poetry, theatre, and, most importantly, the place we call home, Puerto Rico.
Our home at The Three Leaches Theater in the 40 West Arts District hosts an art gallery, lounge, and 70 seat black box theatre that we envision as a home to Denver’s diverse communities and a hub for cultural celebration and exchange. While we celebrate our culture, we have a Pan-Latiné heart that wishes to celebrate our Latin American family.

Current Projects
The Ramas Project: Connecting Puerto Rican artists
The Ramas Project, created by Flamboyán Theatre, exists to give Puerto Rican theatre artists the financial resources, professional connections, and visibility they deserve. Whether based on the island or in the diaspora, our goal is simple: help Puerto Ricans tell their stories on stage. The program will connect Puerto Rican artists in the diaspora and on the island in order to develop works that unite Puerto Rican communities and allows for an exchange of ideas and experiences that will bridge the distances between where we live and our relationship with our homeland.
Our Mission
Flamboyán seeks to create a multi-platform arts space for Puerto Rican stories to be told, and to support musicians, poets, and artisans using a community-based collaboration model which celebrates all Latin American communities.
